TCSG Courses

Dr. Hope was a pivotal figure in technical college-level education. He not only taught a variety of courses but was also the architect of the cybersecurity program at Southern Crescent Technical College, creating all the classes within it listed on the right in bold italics. A key feature of these courses was the integration of EC-Council certifications, allowing students to achieve industry-recognized certifications alongside their academic degree. His efforts led to remarkable growth, with the program expanding to over 300 students in just two years.

Beyond curriculum development, Dr. Hope transformed the CIST2991 course. While it was a standard class for all instructors, he pioneered an internship program with the Henry County, Georgia IT department. This initiative provided students with invaluable hands-on experience in the field, working across diverse areas from the school system to the police department. Students tackled real-world IT issues, gaining practical skills in everything from access management to responding to real-time threats.
